In the search for a corporate wide culture-defining program, ISG evaluated several motivational, character and team building programs.  The Character First! initiative was chosen because of its focus on the positive characteristics of those who make a company successful.  With this program,  ISG strives to be a leading technology solutions provider guided by our principles of integrity, character and compassion. 

                              Skills, once learned, can be maintained and improved with practice. Character, by contrast, is a developed moment-by-moment by the decisions we make.  Character First! was created and sponsored by Michigan Family Forum.  It is an extremely well organized initiative involving individual and group training modules for each of the 49 traits.  Leadership training is mandatory and attendance at local monthly leadership update meetings is encouraged.  The actual training curriculum is designed for implementation monthly over the course of approximately 4 years.   Continuous activities supporting the initiative depend upon the creativity and enthusiasm of the leadership within each corporation.

One year ago, I was told by 3 doctors that it was time for a career change. My health no longer permitted me to work in my chosen field without risking permanent damage. This is when my true journey of FAITH began. At age 40, I was content and did not want a change. I also realized that this was not living by FAITH. Through much prayer and guidance from the Lord, I felt clear direction into the Real Estate profession. I quickly learned how much FAITH would be needed in beginning a new education, taking the Real Estate exam, and beginning a business from scratch. It took immense FAITH to trust that God was leading me in a direction that was His will for my life. In each business I have been part of, I believed that the harder I worked the more successful the business would be. In this new venture, my success depended on God. Working hard had nothing to do with people buying or selling property, nor did I have any control in economic conditions. It has been through this trust and FAITH in God’s leading, that my FAITH has been strengthened. Everyone has to have FAITH in something or someone. For me, it is FAITH in the person of Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. It is because of Him that I find contentment and the true meaning of FAITH. It is with this attitude that I serve others.
